Stacy Green has joined Sony Pictures Entertainment as executive vice president and chief people officer. Before coming to Sony, Green served as chief people officer at Group Nine Media.

Other past positions include executive vice president of global HR and facilities for A+E Networks and senior HR leadership positions at NBCUniversal.

Green earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin, an MBA in finance and marketing from New York University, and a law degree from the University of Miami.

Search-driven solution company Lucidworks has hired Ellen Petry Leanse as its chief people officer. In this role, Leanse will oversee HR and culture initiatives.

Leanse’s background includes entrepreneurship, marketing and teaching. She was part of Apple’s Macintosh launch team in 1984 and has been named a Woman of Influence by Silicon Valley Business Journal and one of technology’s Top Five Marketers by PandoDaily.


Leanse earned a bachelor’s degree in international marketing from San Diego State University.

Mark Torres was hired as vice president of human resources for Cinedigm Corp., an independent content distributor. Before joining Cinedigm, Torres held numerous HR leadership roles, including senior HR executive at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Ticketmaster and Reed Elsevier/Variety.

Torres was also the senior vice president of people and culture at AdTec/Rubicon Project, where he built the company’s first internal HR function in preparation of its initial public offering.

Torres graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications.

Vivint Solar Inc., a residential-solar provider, announced it has promoted Jeremy Sabin to vice president of human capital. In this role, Sabin will oversee HR operations and lead culture strategy.


Sabin joined the company in 2014 as its director of human capital and most recently served as senior director of human capital. He has more than 15 years of experience in HR. Before joining Vivint, Sabin served as senior HR manager for Sun Products/Henkel Corp., and as business-partner supervisor at Intel-Micron Flash Technologies.

Sabin earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Utah Valley University.
