As organizations move from reacting to COVID-19 to considering the long term implications of how and where people work, companies that optimally support the new ways of working will thrive.
The KPMG American Worker pulse survey polled 1,000 workers in April and the results revealed that employee experience was a key factor in improving employee morale and productivity. The discussion around employee experience and the digital workplace has rapidly intensified; moving beyond attracting and retaining talent to enabling and supporting a fully remote workforce with capabilities and technologies which are now deemed mission critical.
Organizations that succeed in the new remote workplace will plan for the entire workplace ecosystem, equip the employee, and support critical business operations. Moving forward, as organizations discover employees ability to effective work remote, they will need to take a holistic approach to enable a flexible workforce that can work in or outside the office walls.
