Rich Williams

Rich Williams is the Chief Customer Officer at Summer, the leading end-to-end workplace student loan and college cost planning solution. In this role, he oversees customer strategy and engagement, and works closely with policymakers, employers and financial institutions to advance Summer’s mission to simplify student loans. Prior to Summer, Williams was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Policy, Planning and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Education, where he led high-impact college affordability and student loan repayment initiatives. He also previously held senior roles at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and in the U.S. Congress.
