$1 million: Amount raised in two pay periods in April through UltiPro Giving for those affected by COVID-19.
Last month, Ultimate Software released a giving tool at no charge to customers that allows organizations to manage and promote charitable giving by employees and employers. In the first two pay periods, participants raised nearly $1 million through Ultipro Giving for the Center for Disaster Philanthropy and Employee Relief Fund and other organizations.
What it means to HR leaders
Before the company released the product, UltiPro Giving was first developed for internal use.
“To date,” says Jody Kaminsky, chief marketing officer at Ultimate Software, “Ultimate employees have raised more than $2 million through the internal platform in support of several nonprofit organizations and charitable causes.”
Now, it’s available to the company’s more than 6,600 customers, which represent more than 51 million employees. HR leaders can manage employee giving, and company matches, through automatic pay deductions for both one-off and recurring philanthropic campaigns.
The release comes amid unprecedented financial stress among Americans, as workers report being more concerned about their financial wellness than their physical or mental health, and record-high unemployment.
