Global consultancy Mercer and WorkMarket, an ADP company and freelance-management solution, have announced a strategic partnership that aims to boost productivity across the talent continuum.

The Denver Broncos selected Ceridian’s Dayforce cloud platform for its HCM needs, citing the goal of driving HR efficiencies, enabling compliance and improving employee engagement. Likewise, Ithaca College implemented Oracle HCM Cloud to improve operational efficiency, automate HR processes and enhance engagement among staff, faculty and students.

Cigna plans to purchase Express Scripts, a pharmacy-benefit-management company, for $52 billion. According to the companies, the acquisition will improve treatment and reduce costs.

Privately held consulting firm The Segal Group has acquired The Singer Group, a consulting firm specializing in HR and organizational development.


HCM provider ADP has partnered with ZipRecruiter, an online job marketplace, to provide ADP’s approximately 500,000 small-business clients access to ZipRecruiter’s smart-matching technology.

Degreed, a digital-learning platform, raised $42 million in Series C funding to invest in its newest product, Skill Certification, a system that certifies and rates any skill.

Businessolver, a SaaS-based benefits-administration-technology provider, announced a strategic collaboration with Transamerica, an insurance-, retirement- and investment-solutions provider. Hosted on the first company’s Benefitsolver platform, the collaboration will offer integrated enrollment in retirement plans alongside employer-provided medical and voluntary benefits.
