11 more startups compete in Pitchfest round 2

Eleven more startups presented Wednesday morning at the 2021 HR Technology Conference & Exposition Pitchfest competition contending for the $25,000 grand prize. These solutions are among the 33 new technologies competing at this year’s conference.

The two finalists that advanced were Learn In, a solution to target employee upskilling, and Onwards HR, which helps HR with a smooth and supportive employee exit experience while remaining compliant with corporate policy and employment law.

Judges were Cas Turbak, VP of Technology at Randstad Sourceright, Emanuel Cotronakis, executive vice president at LRP Media Group and tech analyst George LaRocque.

The first round kicked off Tuesday night in front of a standing-room, but socially distanced, crowd of attendees in the Expo Hall to close out the first day of the conference. ICC (Innovate. Coach. Consult.), an executive coaching, outplacement and leadership training firm, and Compa, a talent acquisition compensation analytics tool, advanced from that round.

The final 11 startups will present Wednesday afternoon, and the six finalists will compete again Thursday in the Expo Hall for $30,000 in total prize money.
